Shelly co-founded a successful group counseling practice, sold it for a nice sum (2008) and now maintains a more limited solo practice. At the peak, Shelly was seeing some 40 clients a week and running a group practice.
Throughout 50 years, amid the vast changes in the mental health field, Shelly has maintained his commitment to practicing privately. Despite down times emotionally, financially, even medically, he has not experienced practice “burn-out”.
